install previously owned DVD

I purchased a DVD from a 3rd party. I have the code. When I put the DVD in, it tries to install Libronix. I have Logos 4 and don't want Libronix 3. I spent 15 minutes on hold at Logos support before the recording said "try again later." Does anyone have instructions on installing from DVD and changing the owner of the software?

James - FIrst, welcome to the forums!

It is my understanding that you would need to do one of 2 things:

Install Libronix so that you can register the resource to your account. It will then download into L4.
Call customer service. They can unlock the code and it will download to L4. (I have done this 5-6 times).

Sure thing. It is really easy, the only slow part is that you will NEED to call sales. WHY?

Well if the previouse owner had it loaded on their system and used it as a licensed software, meaning that it was registered under their name, then it is technically still theirs.

Yes you can load it, but you will have troubles since it is not registered to you. But once you call sales and explain to them that you got it 3rd party and maybe a small transfer fee, then they will explain how to get the books off without loading the older version, Since I believe that is all you really want.....

[edit: I remember I paid 40$ for 2dvd's owned previously, thats not bad for about 400-600$ worth of books}
