Tip:using Library filters in iPad

Just a simple tip you may or may not want to try.  Rather than remembering and typing in library filters, I attached a note to a easily a remembered Bible reference (Gen 1:1 or Mat 1:1 etc.) and entered some of my favorite filters.  Then I can navigate to that Bible reference, tap on the note indicator and then press on the syntax I want to use to copy it. When you press to copy it helps to start at the beginning.  Then go to the library and tap twice on the search box and paste the syntax.  Now that we can see our book covers in the library view it makes browsing nicer.  Here is a sample of some of my filters.  Since you don't have to type everything in, it makes using longer filters easier. If you have a favorite filter perhaps you would be willing to share it.

  • English resources without Perseus:

    English Bibles:

    lang:eng type:bible

Logos has 24 types so type can often be abbreviated: e.g. type:co for commentary; type:di for dictionary; type:e for encyclopedia; type:g for grammar; type:lex for lexicon (distinguish from lectionary).

Likewise, Logos has three editions so edition:e finds Vyrso eBooks while edition:l finds Logos resources.
