BDAG won't keylink

Hey everyone, I just bought the Mac engine. All of my resources seem to be working fine, but I'm having a problem with BDAG. I can view it just fine, but it appears grayed out under the Keylink preference pane for Greek. So essentially, I can't use it for keylinking, which makes my work in the Greek text extremely tedious. Anyone else have this problem?

I am having the same problem with the Collins English dictionary
keylinking on English. It gets checked with the select all but I can't
select it individually or promote it to the top. I have not had the
problem with Greek keylinking. The only difference is that Collins was a recently purchased resource, but I purchased LSJ a few weeks ago and didn't have problems with that adding it to my Greek keylink preferred list.

So I'll be following this thread as well.

Collins can be promoted in my system. Can you check to make sure the resource has been successfully downloaded to the folder (~/Library/Application Support/Libronix DLS/Resources)? Can you open it in "My Library"?

It has been downloaded correctly. I thought maybe it got corrupted in the download so I copied it from my Windows installation with no joy. I can open the dictionary as a normal book and results from the dictionary come up when I do a search.

Another problem that maybe connected is that when I tried to refresh my resources the application crashes. It seems to crash right after the the message: "Initializing keylink handler"is displayed on the splash screen. If I select the relaunch it starts up fine.

Hello Doug,

This is almost certainly related. If the "Refresh Resources" was successful it should enable full function of Collins in the Kelink settings. Please call customer service Mon – Fri 6:00 am – 5:00 pm PST at 1-800-875-6467 for a resolution.

Instead of calling tech support, I followed the email advice Phillip sent. I did a clean wipe of all Libronix files using these instructions. Then, I reinstalled the Mac engine and copied the resource folder back from my Time Machine backup. There was no crash when "initializing keylink handler" was displayed, and now BDAG works fine! I had a free day today so I had time to experiment. Here is my experience:

I uninstalled as Dave suggested and reinstalled the engine and copied my resources back. I then applied the 1.1.1 and 1.2 updates AND THEN tried to set keylinks. I could not set any keylinks. The app also crashed restarting after requesting a resource refresh.

I then uninstalled again, reinstalled the engine and copied back resources. At this point I set the keylinks for Greek and English and requested a refresh of resources with no problems. I then applied the 1.1.1 update. No problems. After installing the 1.2 update. I can modify the keylinks I have already changed but have problems with others. AND the app crashes on startup after requesting the refresh. Here is the crash report:

I had a free day today so I had time to experiment. Here is my experience:

I uninstalled as Dave suggested and reinstalled the engine and copied my resources back. I then applied the 1.1.1 and 1.2 updates AND THEN tried to set keylinks. I could not set any keylinks. The app also crashed restarting after requesting a resource refresh.

I then uninstalled again, reinstalled the engine and copied back resources. At this point I set the keylinks for Greek and English and requested a refresh of resources with no problems. I then applied the 1.1.1 update. No problems. After installing the 1.2 update. I can modify the keylinks I have already changed but have problems with others. AND the app crashes on startup after requesting the refresh. Here is the crash report:

So it seems tied to the 1.2 update. Hope this helps.

I think the problem is updating from 1.1 to 1.2. Have you tried to uninstall and start with 1.2?

Note, 1.2 is the full engine not just an update. You can log into your web account and download 1.2 after uninstalling. I believe this is what worked for Dave above.

No. I started with 1.0 updated to 1.1.1 then to 1.2.

Uninstalling comletely and installing 1.2 works fine.
