Defining Collections

Hi again,

Trying to define a new collection I type the following "code":

         type:"bible commentary" AND type:"bible notes" AND lang:spanish

but nothing get listed.

If I type for the same terms separately it works, for example:

        type"bible notes" lang:spanish  <-- (notice that I didn't have to type "AND")

All Bible Notes resources in the spanish language get listed just fine.

What I'm doing wrong?

That's because there are no resources that are both type:"bible commentary" AND type:"bible notes"

Your need to use an "OR" instead:

(type:"bible commentary" OR type:"bible notes") AND lang:spanish

A shorter way is to use a list:

type:("bible commentary","bible notes") AND lang:spanish

 

Also, as you mentioned, the "AND"s are optional.  These work, too:

(type:"bible commentary" OR type:"bible notes") lang:spanish

type:("bible commentary","bible notes") lang:spanish
