When I view my library obn my desktop, it says I have 501 resources. When I look at my library on my iPhone, it says I have 512 resources. How can that be?
The mobile app comes with some free resources. These resource licenses are not added to your account, hence the difference.
You may have hidden resources on the desktop. I don't know if hidden desktop resources show up on iOS or not but it might be an explanation.

Currently hidden resources do show up on iOS so this could well be an explanation of at least part of what you are seeing
OK. Thanks. I note a couple of different responses. Hidden files and/or free mobile resources. So I might be able to narrow it down... Can someone tell me how I might be able to "unhide" resources on the desktop?
