Logos won't start

Yesterday Logos was working great.

Today it wouldn't even start.

It gets to the startup screen, then says it is syncing files, etc. I waited for around an hour. Finally I click the button to start now and it totally freezes. The circle that shows some sort of action isn't moving. Nothing is happening.

Any suggestions?

Turn on logging http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Then try a full restart of your computer

Then start Logos4, if it crashes still, then upload log files here in your post.

I had the same problem. Hold the CNTL key in while starting Logos. When it asks to signin let it do so (I kept holding the CNTL key). Logos should come up and the problem should be solved, whatever it was (I think it might be related to the sync changes last night).

Thank you for the suggestions. I am grateful to have it working without any big reinstall, etc.

I got it to work using Danny's suggestion with one extra step. When I tried to just hold the Ctrl key it didn't work, but the following did.

1. Hold the Ctrl while starting Logos (I also held it in the whole time. Not sure if that was needed, but figured it wouldn't hurt.)

2. Choose "work offline" (This is the extra step.)

3. Let Logos load

Note: I to "Update Now", but there weren't any updates, so I really don't think that was related to it working.

4. Close Logos

5. Hold the Ctrl key while starting Logos (like step 1)

6. Choose "Login"

This time it worked. For some reasons I needed to choose to "work offline" once before it work work to "login"
