I would like to join a group already formed.....is there a way to see groups already formed? 

I am thinking about a group that is going through a book of the bible.....

Search for a book of the Bible, or for the word Bible...see if a group shows up. If nothing shows up, you can consider starting your own group.

is there a way to see groups already formed?

Groups can be "open," "closed," or "secret." The first two are "discoverable" through searches. The last is not. "Closed" groups require approval from a moderator to join, "Open" groups do not. There are no lists of groups.
