Can't install Logos Bible Software

I'm trying to install Logos Bible software (version 3 I believe) on my Windows 7 computer. Wen I do I receive the following error message: "Another version of this software is already installed."

Hi Mark and welcome to the Logos forums!
First a series of questions; please don't be offended it they seem obvious.
(1) Is there some reason why you want to install the older version of Logos? If you got a CD with Libronix3, you can call it in to Logos on their 1-800 number and they'll unlock the resources for use in Logos4 for you. Logos4 is considerably more powerful.
(2) If you REALLY want Libronix, are you using 32 or 64 Windows7? If it's 64, that might be the source of the issue.
(3) I assume you've already checked to make sure (somehow) Libronix isn't already installed? I can't imagine how, but just in case?

I'm using the 32 bit version of Windows 7. I suspect the problem stems from migrating my older XP programs to the newer computer. Other programs I migrated seem to work, but not Libronix. I've tried two things: 1) uninstalling, using Add/Remove programs and 2) going the the registry to delete any line with logos or libronix in it.
Thank you for your prompt reply!

Libronix works perfectly well on Win 7, 32bit, it does so on my machine.
Maybe your XP version is too old, try the installer for the current version from here: http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls
Hope this helps,
Mick

Hi Mark Welcome to the forums,
I appreciate the dilemma or is that a para ducks :-0. You did not answer the first question. I use libronix and Logo's 4. I too recommend at least the free upgrade if not the minimal cross grade to Logo's 4. After trying what you have i would call Customer Service --->

Mark ... another angle, if the CCLeaner doesn't work is: http://www.logos.com/support/article/643
Another gentleman had a recent problem with installing Libronix and this fixed it (in his case it was on a 64 W7 but applies to 32 W7 too).

The link you provided is an update page. I have used it. Do you have the cd for the license[code/key] for L3?

I do. And after thinking about it, I've decided to upgrade to Logos 4.

OK, that might be best. It may be considered an ‘upgrade’ depending on what you have in L3, I would look into that first….

Wiki has Getting Started with Logos => Installation + Indexing
Logos has => http://www.logos.com/minimalcrossgrade (if have not upgraded a base package since Logos 4 shipped in 2009)
Keep Smiling [:)]
