Turning Off an Update?

Recently, guidance was provided to someone who had a bad update already downloaded, waiting to install. Can anyone help me remember how to do that? Beta 5 of current s/w causes my system to crash on bootup. I've managed to get it up & limping in a pre-crash state. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/47333.aspx)
But I don't remember how to get it to stop attempting the update that's gonna kill the system... Anyone remember?
Thanks!
Grace & Peace,
Bill

Thanks for the response, Alabama, but the update (beta 5) has already been downloaded... every time I start Logos, it asks, "An Update has been downloaded. Do you want to install it?" It tempts me to try it again... (I just did, same problem; I have the recovery down to a fine art, now, though----LOL-----just keep a copy of the file it says it doesn't have permission to replace in the same directory.... copy it back into the missing file anytime I need to.)
Someone was given direction about what key in the registry to delete to get it to stop that... I just can't remember what... and I can't find the post.
Maybe Logos will hear the plea for help soon. Thanks again! BlessingsGrace & Peace,
Bill

Try HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce (delete Setup.exe or similar sub-key) OR
