If you can bid and send an item to go over the line and dont....Someone and almost always will on Tuesday.
So dont blame them, blame yourself,if you wished you had more time to drive down the price.
Your logic escapes me...
[:^)]
There's alot of complaints that a week isnt long enough to get the bids down in price. Alot of times we only have half that amount because someone tips it early, alot of times Tuesday. Theres are lot of items that are close to tipping now, but everyone is hoping the price goes down more before it tips and dont tip it. Then comes Tuesday and someone tips it anyways and give less time to down the price.
same here. I still do not understanding your logic even with your explanation. Can you try explaining it again.
In
I'll try and explain.
Community Pricing books that are 'over the line' always come out of CP on a Friday, but you get at least 48 hours after it goes over the line before it comes out of CP. Therefore if a CP book crosses the line on a Wednesday, you only get 48 hours before it comes out of CP, whereas if it goes over the line on a Thursday you get 8 days before it comes out of CP.
The length of time it takes to come out of CP matters because lots of people seem to jump onto CP bids only after it's crossed the line, and they drive the price down further.
Therefore, there is a greater likelihood that you will pay a lower price for a CP product that goes over the line on a Thursday than for a CP product that goes over the line on Wednesday.
That is what the original poster pointed out. [:O]
You really don't want it to go over on Tue or Wed if you want more time to drove the price even lower. [Y]
That is what the original poster pointed out.

He may have thought that but certainly did not spell it out.
His basic drift was if someone pushes it over on a Tuesday, it's your fault not the person that pushed it over. So given a choice to push it over on a Tuesday, should I? I don't think so.He made no mention of any other day of the week. Hence my confusion...
Currently CP bidding closes at Noon in Logos headquarters on a Friday (Pacific time zone) => http://www.worldtimezone.com/datetime.html so 48 hours earlier is Noon Wednesday in Logos offices.
If a CP bid is placed (by a Logos user) so 100 % of estimated production cost is covered ('over the line") after Noon Wednesday, then closing time is Noon Friday of the next week. Hence CP 'over the line' to closing time can range from 2 days (48 hours) up to almost 9 days (215 hours)
Lunch time at Logos (Noon) is a bit after dinner in London and breakfast in Australia the next day (e.g Thursday and Saturday).
Keep Smiling [:)]
What he meant was that it's our fault for not having bid it up to 100% the week before.
Sort by progress and see how many items are ready to tip. If you are able to tip now do so or someone who doesnt know better might tip it when we have less days. Not everyone can be at fault., only those who withhold or make low bids.
I believe in using the week we have instead of whining to Logos to give us an additional week.
Long story, short:
Just bid or raise bids on Thursday or Friday or at least try to refrain past Monday through Wednesday.

Almost. My message is less passive. I say if we don't tip it early it's gonna get tipped late in the week
