A Mess

OK....I"m in some deep water here. I tried to install the 4.5b Beta 5 this morning. The beta would not launch. I thought "no problem, I'll just reinstall the release version." To make a long story shorter, but the time I arrived at evening I had no more beta and no more data files on my Mac. The tech support person said delete and I deleted. Still not in full panic, I assumed that I could simply move my data folder from my nightly clone of the drive back and I'd be fine. I'm told by tech support that I can do that and save myself the 8.5 gig download, but I would still need to reindex. Surely if I cloned the index from my drive, I can clone it back? Anyone with any experience here?
To make it more interesting, all Sunday's notes are tied up in the Logos cloud.
Wow....what a Friday. Should'a been the 13th.

Launching a Logos Beta updates version inside SQLite database files.

After SQLite database file version is updated, stable version will not launch.

If have complete copy of your Logos 4 folder and application, should be able to restore to same user and location.
Wiki has Quick Installation onto Multiple Macs => Duplicate Logos 4 Mac Installation
Also, wiki has Mac Troubleshooting => Uninstalling Logos 4 Mac that includes other files and a folder in step 2 to restore or delete (especially logos4 folder: ~/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/logos4 )

Thanks Alabama24 and SFJ! I was able to remove the beta, reinstall the stable release and copy my resources and indexes from my clone drive and it all worked. What a mess. That will teach me to play on my production account.
They (I) really should pay you for technical support. Really.

Rejoicing with you. [8-|] Wiki has Logos 4 Beta Program with information and risks, which includes => Recommended Beta tester behavior

Best "payment" would be prayers for honest work that glorifies God; we are seeking God's direction in our lives. Personally Thankful for God's wondrous love. [:D]
