Bousset's The Antichrist Legend traces the development of the Antichrist motif to its Jewish background, and provides some interesting possible sources for this view in the Babylonian Dragon mythology. Bousset was a representative of the History of Religions school and is still cited in the literature. His work covers a tremendous amount of ground, investigating not only ancient apocalypses and Jewish works, but also surveying such figures as Ephrem the Syrian, Cyril of Jerusalem, the Sibyllines, Jerome, Lactantius, Martin of Tours, and other lesser known writings of the patristic age as they bear on the Antichrist question.

While the bid is currently set very high, with just a handful of more bidders at the lower peak of $50, we will have a new lower price. Sets that cross over at certain price usually actually sell for less as everyone jumps on during the last week so that they don't miss out, and this usually lowers the price - sometimes considerably.
