iphone going offline

I find often happening while i am studying and sorting between word study and the text, I can no longer apply anything like a word study -the study wont open.  well without fail when this happens i go to the home page on my Iphone and there it is "Offline" - This is confusing to me because if i am not on wifi I have 3G -i should never be off line so i am guessing this in an app problem.  Any solutions anyone.  Frustrated in Syracuse New York thanks for your help.

I have never experienced this. My guess is that at some point you lose internet connectivity and the app doesn't realize that internet has been restored.

Any solutions anyone.

Kill the app and restart it:

 

1. Leave the app.
2. Double click the center button, which pulls up the multitask bar
3. hold down the app icon in the multi task bar
4. click the minus button on the app icon
5. push the center button twice to close the multitask bar
6. restart the app.
