Nice Photoshop job, that's all I can say. What other CP resource did you get that chart from? It must have been one that crossed over the line in the past since none of them are currently over the top.

Josh, you really had me there. I totally believed you at first and was thinking Logos had adjusted their estimated costs to put this into production so that it suddenly went over 100%. You cruel, cruel man.

When you're a fool you're one year round not just on April 1st

Hello gang! Good to see most of you don't have a life and are still posting frequently on this forum.  LOL me I have a life that's why I don't get to post as often.  Now wonder the majority of the pastors are fat they spend all their time sitting down in front of a computer posting comments and wasting time with photoshop gimmicks to post them on logos forum and god knows what other forums.  Great way to have me give money on Sundays to pay a fat boy to write 4 lessons per week and post comments and photoshop pics on the internet.  Pay a fat boy to be in an A/C office all day and driving to visit people in the hospital and to stop by starbucks! What a way to spend the Lord's money! LOL but is it any wonder why the Bible says that some see godliness as a way of gain? Ah but don't you dare judge people/fat boys because  you don't know all the hard work they put in each lesson.  I tell you all the hard work they put in: 1) find a sermon online, 2) click download and 3) modify it a little bit and then preach it.

    Bunch of deceivers!

Ah you might be wondering why I'm saying that? Go visit the pastors and the youth ministers  in most churches and most of them will either always be there staring at the computer or they'll be out "visiting" starbucks!

I posted early because I knew I'd be able to "fool" more people. Everyone is on the look out on the 1st - but not a week before! I hope everyone had a good laugh (after their initial disappointment wore off of course!) [:)]

Giovanni is just mad because my post excited him so much he accidentally split his Starbucks coffee all over his copy of Nelson's Annual Preacher's Sourcebook.

  • Hello gang!

In a "primis aprillis" thread context, wondering if attempting to joke (noticed "LOL" used couple times) or if words used truly reflect you (with a need for God's wondrous Love in your life plus prayer) ?

One item missing from posted words is verbal inflection, which provides important information about the poster's intended meaning.  Years ago at a conference was in a session that essentially was an hour long laugh track (lots of belly busters).  English was not the primary language for one speaker; every word had an European accent.  The speaker often used an offensive word while telling jokes, similar to other comedians.  The session was audio taped.  After the session, the conference organizers listened to the tape and were quite offended by the verbal language, which lacked the visual response from people, who were the butt (receiving) of the jokes, enthusiastically laughing out loud (nearly on the floor from laughing so hard at the European's words).  Some time later, the nuanced meaning of the offensive word in the US was explained to the European by comparing to a word in his native language.  European speaker's face turned beet red [:$] from embarrassment.

Searched my Logos library for:  (humor, laugh) WITHIN 10 WORDS (cruel, offensive)

Pay a fat boy to be in an A/C office all day and driving to visit people in the hospital and to stop by starbucks!

Just a quick word for you Giovanni,

Visiting people in the hospital is something Jesus commends very highly. Matthew 25:31-46   I was hospitalized two weeks ago and will not return home for approximately another 8-10 weeks.  I have been visited many times already by pastors, ministers, Sunday school teachers and fellow church members. I have eves-dropped on the other patients when they were likewise visited and know they appreciate visits like I do. It just so happens none of the visitors I have observed were obese. Even if they were, I would rather be visited by a glutton with poor self-control than forgotten by 100 men of "self-discipline."

Please notice, the benefactors of the visitations in Matthew 25:31-46 and those in James 1:27 are needy and unlikely to enrich the visitor. To attack pastors in the way that you did is wrong. Another point: one of my visitors brought me a Starbucks because they know I enjoy it and can't go get it myself. Not everything is as it appears. The pastor you see at Starbucks just may be buying the drink for an in-patient.

Would-that-I-could buy a drink for every pastor, priest, minister, and fellow Christian that visits someone in their need this week.  (And that includes the fat people, too.)

    Giovanni,

I find it interesting that you make such a prideful comment about "your having a life".  Why don't you share with us what your life consists of?  Have you cured cancer, saved a person in a burning fire, or invented a revolutionary item?  I would love to hear what such a brilliant man like yourself does that is so impact-full?  Please dazzle us!

I for one, think that these pastors who are out sharing the GOSPEL, are doing the world a remarkable service.

Ah, but prima aprilis would be my late father's 90th birthday, and that man was no one's fool.
