New Resource replacing a current tab

Wouldn't it be great to have the option to somehow open a new resource on a tab that is currently being used?

Sometimes, we like having an uncluttered desktop and want to keep it that way. Each new resource we open 1] creates a new tab and 2] if we want to replace the old tab we must close it / lose it.

Is there any thought about a way to REPLACE the current resource by opening a new one in its place; and afterwards ... hit a 'back' arrow to return to your original resource? Maybe a RIGHT CLICK on the  "+"  to choose a command to "Open in this window" or "Use Same Tab" or something like that.

Loving L4 more and more,

I guess we're all different. I'd find this suggestion confusing.

What do you propose for how Logos determines which tab to overlay?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The only way this would feel natural to me is if dragging a link/resource over top of the tab replaced the tab, to the left or right created a new tab in the respected positions, and floating it in the body of a panel resulted in the current behavior.

EDIT: OK, That got really messy. I'm sure it could have been simply but I hope you get the point.

For me Parallel Resource sets is sufficient   ie. right and left arrow keys. Else I just close unwanted tabs.

However, the guessing game of which pane a resource will open in with Logos' "intelligent" placement sees me doing more dragging than I like, so I wouldn't mind a tab to be designated as "Send new resources here"!
