Tip: Make a "1 Tile" keyboard shortcut

I have often found myself wanting to make a window "full screen", and wanted a shortcut to do so. As far as I know there is no built in shortcut (yet!) for this - if anyone knows of one, please share.

I am aware of the Reading View (F11), but usually just prefer to switch to a "1 Tile" layout if I only have 1 or 2 resources open. If I have a lot open, F11 is certainly the way to go.

It turns out you can drag the "1 Tile" layout both to the Shortcut Bar as well as to the Bookmarks menu (which is inside the Favorites tab). So, I now have it in both. Having it in the Bookmarks menu allows for a keyboard shortcut as well, which is very handy.

Personally have a full screen layout with 2 tabs: Collections and Library:

This layout is useful for modifying collection rules since can see more metadata columns. Also can open resources, then drag and drop as desired.

Actually this already exists. Should you have a layout that you use regulalrly, have the resources open and the layout named. Click the 'Layous' drop down - upper right, at the bootm on the left side you will have different layout views, click the view with just one showing. It will align ALL the open resources and it will appear as the f11, only you will notice that all your resources are 'tabs' along the top under the "Logos bible software 4" blue indentifier.

My Dell XPS 17" laptop has a 1080p screen (1920 x 1080 resolution).

My "1 Tile" layout has a name: "v:Collections + Library" so sorts near the bottom of my Layouts menu. Thankful for option to drag Layout name from menu to create a shortcut (3rd one to right of command) plus dragged to a Favorite keyboard shortcut since have opened this layout more often than others.

Thanks! Actually the point of my post was just to show that you can make a keyboard shortcut to do what you mention faster (since I find it is something I often want to do, and think it is a hassle to have to go up to the Layouts menu and click the 1 Tile there). But I probably should have made that clearer at the beginning of my post.

His idea solved another problem I had indirectly. Only the front window can accept the little icons at the top of the page. So what to do, if you have multiple pages (I have 1 for greek, 1 for hebrew and so forth)? Lightbulb! Put a small favorites panel on each page.

What do you mean by having multiple pages? Are you referring to using the option "Open in a floating window"? Or just having multiple layouts you switch between?

I just tried out the floating window with keyboard shortcuts/favorites... hmmm. Obviously there is no "shortcut bar". But it seems that also "keyboard shortcuts" and "favorites" which are run from the floating window are applied not to the floating window, but to the main window! That is counterintuitive - I'm not sure if it is a bug or not.

Yes ... multiple pages = windows. And clicking on a favorite in a floating window WILL send it to who knows where.

But, right-clicking the favorite to open a resource allows putting it in a floating window. And if the favorites are folder'd, then right-clicking the folder opens all of them in a separate window. I now have a small favorites-tab in each floating window for related (unopened) resources.

I'm not sure 'what' happens when a bookmark is clicked from a floating window!

Steve, I recognize you've long concluded I'm not likely from the same planet. But I never figured out 'Floating Tool Windows' (the title) until now. I 'got' the floating windows part, but not the tools. You can open a stack of tools too!

Sorry, you would never guess that English is my only language...lol

But to me Passage List, Notes, PGs are tools (as well as those under the Tools menu). So i wasn't very clear, Sorry!
