allow searches without need for accent/characters on letters
For example: was searching for George Müller on Vyrso, on my ipad to download my collection. Could not figure out how to type an "ü" (umlaut u), and When I typed "George Muller", my library suggestions went blank. not sure where all that happens (French accents?), but could something be coded so that we can get "george muller" to work for "George Müller" type searches?
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.

Use <alt+252> for the "u" with umlaut.

Thanks, but I'm talking about my ipad, George. at least, I don't see "alt" on my ipad keyboard. is that possible? I can make the umlaut on my laptop (where I wrote this post), but not on my ipad. at least, I don't know how, yet.

Hi Dan,
if you hold down a letter on the keypad on the iPad or iPhone, like 'u' for example, then you will get a range of accents for that letter...
But I agree with the original premise that to be able to search with just english characters would be good

I think that still stands, too. Don't know how many people will always remember the ü in the name, and just think "DANG, I THOUGHT I had a book by this guy . . . ."

Actually, you won't get the umlaut unless you tell it to. You hold the key for 2 seconds and the option pops up. Come on. Admit it. There has to be at least ONE thing you are willing to concede to Mac. [:O]
