Does anybody know if it's possible customize this section of the passage guide at all to make it more likely that you find a sermon from a preacher you actually know something about?
I don't think its possible. Did you check sermonaudio.com to see how hits appear? When I did, by default it popped up by "popularity," but this is not how it appeared in Logos. Also, finding sermons by popular speakers was spotty, even on the website. For example, I looked up John MacArthur to test out Logos. I found a sermon that dealt with the text: 1 Corinthians 7:32-40. When I did a passage guide on that passage, the sermon did not appear in the first or second "page" of hits within Logos. Strangely, a search on sermonaudio.com did not pull up the MacArthur sermon at all. Maybe I just don't understand the website.
Here’s the start[link] page for the integration. You may have to scroll down to get to the Logos part. Then there is a link at the bottom of that section…I did not read the whole thing…
It would be great if this could include sermonaudio.com's mini-sites like Reformed Voice.
All the URLs involved are the same apart from the top level address so it wouldn't take much tweaking - or just leave it editable by the user.
Eg the urls sermonaudio.com OR reformedvoice.com followed by
/search.asp?chapter=7&BibleOnly=true&currSection=sermonsbible&keyword=Genesis
will both work - but the latter will only find broadcasters registered on the mini-site.
(The same effect can also be gained using the 'Filter' drop down on sermonaudio.com - which provides lots more options for those wanting to narrow down the 830,000 plus sermons currently available!)
Very good idea!

I just tried a search on Luke 5:12 in Logos and it brought up exactly the same as on the sermonaudio site - ranked by popularity. So if we could get some of the sermonaudio filter/customization features it would be great. As sermonaudio heads towards a million sermons, not being able to customize results makes this feature increasingly less useful.
There's now a UserVoice request for this - if you want customizable SermonAudio, please vote!
