I know this has been talked about a great deal but I have a
thought which might help to drive the price of these books down.
What if all of us on the forums would begin to bid on items
which are not near closing in the following way? If we would bid in mass on the
next highest point on the price graph on items--even if we do not want them at
that high of price or maybe do not want them at all--this would drive the
prices down and maybe entice others to bid at that lower level.
This means you must watch the closings very carefully so you
do not spend more than you wish to or can afford.
Now is this ethical? I believe it is because if Logos is
able to move more books to the point where they can begin to work on them--they
make more money. So Logos wins if we can help in this process. I don’t believe
they care whether 20 people or 2000 pay the cost of production. They are making
money and we have the opportunity to purchase books for less if we did not work
together. Now if a bunch of people bail very near closing that could cost Logos
money and make this program a liability. So that would not be good for anyone.
I know similar suggestions have been offered before; so this
is nothing new. However, I do believe this would work.

As I have prayerfully considered what I have said here, I realize that my moral compass was off in what I have written. I apologize to my sisters and brothers on these forums.
