Updating

Hey,

This question may already be answered somewhere, but I couldn't find an answer myself.

The 3.0 Windows engine used to be free. When the Mac version came out you needed to pay for the engine.

When the 4.0 Mac version is released, will the engine be free? I already have the 3.0 Windows Scholar edition. Will my 3.0 resources work on the 4.0 engine?

I am currently running A2. How do I upgrade/install A3. Do I have to uninstall A2 or just download load the latest version from Logos and install over A2? Do I have to reindex my library ?

Any help would be appreciated !

I just realized that Logos did it for me. I noticed the Logos icon on top of the screen and there it said, logos updates ready to be installed. I clicked it, and it relaunch the program and now I am running A3.

Glad people got their issues sorted out, but can we please come back onto topic and address my original question, if anyone knows the answer.

Yes, you can download a free version of the 4.0 engine. I don't know where the link is though so you will either have to search the forum or wait for someone who knows. Maybe post the question in the L4windows forum as someone there might know.

It is my understanding that if you already own a 4.0 package the Mac engine is free, but I am not sure if it will be free for those who have only ever purchased the windows 3.0 version.
