It is the general lack of firsthand and personal knowledge of God (Jesus Christ) by all, "according to the Scriptures", that will surely be reciprocated by the the LORD Jesus, on Judgment Day, with the shocking but deserving words, "I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!" (Matt. 7: 21-23)
As far as I know, only fierce Christian opposition is taking place right now against the ways and means of Christ's once-and-for-all self-revelation to the world , i.e., His death on the cross (John 8: 21-28; 14: 15-21; 19: 30-37).
