Classic Revelation shows green on Orders Page at $50
The Classic Commentaries set shows on my orders page as green at $50, but it is still projected at $160 on the product page?!? I am pretty sure that early yesterday it was still red on my orders page.
Disclaimer: I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication. If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.

Mine also shows green on the orders page.
Maybe it indicates that the prices are now at parity and that 3 or 4 new $50 bidders or one $160 switcher will tip the balance?

Ditto, mine is also green on the orders page but the CP page still shows $160 as the needed bid to succeed.

Appears orders page needs some tender loving care. For grins, reduced my bid to $ 40

It proves that if we unite, we can bring down the amount to $50 and send this collection to production, but I am wondering why Logos not updating it on the product page? If they make it green, more people definitely bid $50.

Maybe they are adding flexibility in their algorithm, like if the top bid is only <60% other bids that end up close to that are just as "likely to succeed". I think a lot of people would get on board if they thought $40 was likely to succeed -- even more so than the normal $50 suggestion.

$40 would be great, but it's proving difficult even to get it to $50 - hopefully if we can get it to $50, there will be enough new buyers to bring it down further later on.
What we really need right now if for a couple of $160 bidders to lower their bids. Come on, try it, you know you really want this set! Lower your bids!

Anyone else got a problem with the Classic Colossians etc product? I put in a bid of $20 yesterday which was at the 100% level and got a confirmatory e-mail stating that "Bidding will close on 4/13/2012 for Classic Commentaries and Studies on
Colossians and Philemon (14 vols.) The current community price for this
product is $20.00. Your bid for this product is $20.00. Upon
closing, your current bid will be successful and your Pre-Pub order for this
product will be placed at the community price." Today the price is $25 and "Your bid may fail" appears.Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

No No No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All $160 bids are also $50 bids. What is needed is many more NEW $50 bids to get this resource into production. The bids mean nothing unless the production cost is covered. The only way this will happen at $50 is if 3.2 times as many people bid $50 as bid $160.

You're not understanding. Most of us are agreed (and you can disagree if you want) that the current bid price of $160 is putting off potential bidders who would bid if the current price was set lower - say at $50.
The quickest way to get the $50 peak set as the current price would be for some $160 bidders to lower their bids, so that the high bid dips below the $50 bid, creating a new current bid price.
This in turn, it is hoped, would attract more bidders and speed up the Revelation set into production.

A resource that has not peaked will never go into production. The low ballers have a pretty good track record of getting things into production - do you know any high bids that have gone into production? Your argument is like saying 'communism would work fine if everyone just accepted the system'. CP is a communal system and cannot be shielded from the psychological affects of others' behavior. The high bids scare off the low bids, that simple. The quickest way to get it moving is for some high bidders to lower their bids and allow the lower bid to set the price. It isn't rocket science.

Finally!! Someone with enough smarts to understand! However, in this case, they may have a point. There is a purpose in this strategy - whether it works or not remains to be seen, but this is NOT a case of trying to lower the price by bidding lower. If a few people at $160 would lower their bid, even to $140, it would lower the peak from $160 to $50. Of course, if most of the $50 people were willing to go to $80 or $90 we'd have it in production by now.
