Bible Word Study wiki
I've been trying to learn more of the functionality of Logos, and am working my way through the Bible Word Study wiki. In the "Septuagint Translation" translation ring, when I click on the centre of the ring, it only displays Bible references (i.e. no references from the Apocrypha); however, it says there are three references in Esther, but doesn't display these - a bug?

For screen shot, opened Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint, then checked send hyperlinks here so could click Esdras B links in BWS (then copied Lexham LXX Interlinear to new tab and arranged for screen shot):
Note: using Logos 4.5b Beta 5, learned clicking "2 Esd B 15:15" in BWS opens ESV to Nehemiah 5:15 (also happens in AV 1873 and RSV, which have 2 Esdras instead of Esdras

My best guess is that you (like me) don't have a LXX which includes Apocrypha which is an interlinear with Hebrew as well as Greek. Please notice that all the words around the outside of the ring are in Hebrew and our search word is in Greek. My library doesn't have any LXX which are interlinear with Hebrew and have the Apocrypha.
EDIT: if you go to the Textual Search section of BWS, and click on LXX then L4 will locate all occurrences of your search word.

After repeating Steve Clark's examples using Logos 4.5b Beta 5 on Mac, concur with Bible Word Study (BWS) bugginess. The BWS ring in Septuagint Translation section does not have Esther while graph results does show Esther (plus more).

Hi KS,
The BWS ring in Septuagint Translation section does not have Esther while graph results does show Esther (plus more).
It seems that the goal of the Septuagint translation ring is to render the Greek word into the OL (original language). The missing references to Esther are apocryphal additions and it would seem that they may have been Greek (as the OL for the apocrypha may have been Greek). So that is why they are not included in the drop down list of references in the BWS. After a brief search on the web, there are suggestions that scholars may be in disagreement as to the OL for many of the apocryphal books.
Also if you check out Logos Morphology of the LXX (logosres:logoslxx;ref=BibleLXX.Es3.13b;off=47) and use the RI, you will find that Logos leaves these out (additions to Esther in OL).

No bug. Those verses are additions to Esther from the Apocrypha. Almost all the Apocrypha was originally written in Greek and therefore have no Hebrew equivalent in the original. See my response to KS4J here 357274.aspx
