    Hi Gregg

From observation, linking means that when you move one resource (such as a Bible) in one panel the other resource (such as a commentary) stays linked or at the same verse.

Synching works when linking is off. N this mode, pressing the sync button updates the position in one resource to match the position in the resource which was last moved. A nice feature.

Graham, thx for the reply. I understand linking but still don't get synching. Can you illustrate? And while I've got you, is there a way pick up on my computer where I left off on my iPad...and vice versa? ( so if I'm reading deu 20 on my iPad, my computer would open to deu 20 when I open logos)

    Many thanks!

I think sync is a one time "bring both resources to the same reference point" feature. Linking is similar, but it persistently keeps the resources together.

Yes… sort of. In other words, it is not perfect. When Book "A" is opened on either your computer or mobile device, it should automatically open to the place left off on the other device with the following provisos:

    1. If the resource is already open on your mobile device, it will stay where it was on your mobile device.
    2. If the resource is already open in a layout on your computer, it will stay where it left off on your computer.
    3. The point of #1 & #2 is that the resource needs to be closed.
    4. Additionally, the mobile app is not as persistent in syncing as is the desktop app. This means that if you are reading on the mobile app, you may need to force the app to sync the information. I believe that this is done when you highlight, meaning that if you are highlighting as you go, things should work OK. If you are just reading, you may need to force close the app and reopen to force a sync.
