Libronix content question

Sorry for a basic question. . .a new purchaser of V4 and still learning how it all works. . .anyway, was at a bookstore yesterday that was going out of business and they had a some Libronix collections heavily discounted. They were not labled Logos (as far as I could tell) but had an official looking "Libronix Digital Library System" logo. Am I correct that these will work fine with L4 . . .?

Adam,

They will work in version 4; however, you will need to install them in version 3. Sync your licences with the Logos' server, and when you open v.4, those resources will then be downloaded and be functional in v4.

If it is a Logos/Libronix supported program, it will come with its own engine (Version 3)... but as was stated, you will have to install, sync, then run L4, type: update resources in command bar, it will download, then it will index...

I'm sure there will have to be some type of waiting period (minuites/hours?) before L4 will be able to recognize your new L3 licences.... Not sure how long.

Adam, as far as I know every product designed to work in Libronix that can be bought stand-alone has the Libronix engine on the disc.

You may want to look at the contents to see what additional content you are actually gaining. If you bought a base L4 package, there are a lot of titles that may be in them that are also in the old L3 pkgs you see in a store.

Do you remember what the packages were?

The ones I was interested in where all extras - commentary sets, etc. Stuff that I know doesn't come in the base package (at least the one I have). Like Macarthur's commentary set, etc.

I think it might be a great opportunity for you to get excellent resources for your L4. The only complication (if we can call it that way) is the need to install the L3 to get the license synchronized with you L4.
