Cannot use back-space in Layout Menu

When I tried to rename a Layout, or to correct the spelling of a new one I'm creating, I cannot use the back-space key (I'm not sure of the exact name of the key. Its used for deleting, its at the very top right of my keyboard). This is annoying, since its such a regular occurrence.
Here is the screen shot to show exactly the menu I'm talking about:
I've had this issue ever since I started using Logos. Its minor, but since I have a few minutes, thought I would point it out.

Stéphane - Did you use the paperclip icon in the post editor to attach your screen shot? It isn't appearing.

Welcome [:D]
Apologies: using Logos 4.5b Beta 5 am unable to replicate since could click pencil in Layouts menu, then click in layout name, use arrow keys to position cursor, then use delete key to remove "Recent", followed by typing New:

Thanks for your reply. This was my first post on the forum. The screen shot is up now. But perhaps the forum isn't the best place to post what I saw as a bug report.
I have found a work around. I use the keyboard 'fn' + 'backspace' combination to delete forward (that works). My point was not to ask help for a work around, but to inform Logos of the existence of this problem, also thinking, that others could confirm whether they have the same problem. Is there a better place to go?

I can confirm the problem does not exist in the Windows version, but can't tell about the Mac version.
Forums are a fine place to report bugs. Beta forums get perused by Logos more frequently for bug reports I think but I believe they also look at the main Mac and Windows forums too. You can also always send email to logos4feedback@logos.com if you prefer. But reporting on the forums does have the added benefit of getting other corroboration, and suggested workarounds if it's a bug that is hindering your work. Or it might just be user error, and the forums can help with that too.

I can confirm this problem using L4 Mac 4.5b Beta 5 on Mac OS 10.5.8. Which version of L4 and Mac OS are you using?
Don't know if logs will help with this, but here they are

I'm using Logos 4.5a SR-1 (4.51.0.2057) on OS X.5.8.

Logos Support page includes posting bug reports in this forum => http://www.logos.com/mac/support/bugs Also, Wiki http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#How_to_Report_Bugs_in_Logos_4_Mac includes posting bugs in Logos forums: stable in Logos 4 Mac and beta in Mac Beta
Personally thankful for many friendly forum discussions about Logos Bible Software: have learned a lot plus have a lot to learn.

This forum is appropriate for bug reporting since 4.5a SR-1 (4.51.0.2057) is the current stable release.
Personally using OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) so suspect OS X 10.5.8 may be related to backspace key issue.
Wonder if have considered upgrading to Snow Leopard ?
On an iMac, upgrading from Leopard to Snow Leopard was noticeably faster in many applications. Since had an iMac that could run 64 bit kernel, experienced another noticeable improvement by enabling 64 bit kernel. Caveat: a few programs have compatibility issues with Snow Leopard.

No, the forums are a great place to report bugs! KS4J didn't intend to suggest that they are not. His apology was just intended to say that he was not seeing what you were seeing. When you have a bug, any number of factors could cause it, and it is helpful to isolate it if possible. A bug could be related to a certain build of the software, or how it interacts with your OS (or other software installed on your computer).
Please feel free to come report other bugs and to ask questions. That is what the forums are for! [:)]

This then appears to be an issue isolated to OS 10.5.8. Could you consider an upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6.8)? You will need to order the disk directly from Apple. It only costs $29 ($49 for Family Pack of 5). I will be upgrading to 10.6 later today, so will no longer be able to trace these 10.5.8 bugs.
Appears that we—the handful of Leopard users—are restricting Logos' ability to move forward with new Mac technology [8-|]

Also, it appears from KS4J's screenshot that he was attempting to do something different (editing the snapshot name to save a Layout, not editing an exiting Layout name).

He is a big boy and can defend himself, but I believe you are mistaken. What a horrifying thought. I disagreed with Rosie [:^)]

Yes, I'm sure he can. I wasn't meaning to defend him. I just saw two different things in the two screenshots and was being very literal minded, describing what I saw. I don't think I'm wrong about what I saw and how I described it:
Whether my contribution was helpful to the discussion is a completely different story. It doesn't invalidate the bug report, since you have confirmed it. I was just thinking maybe KS4J would have been able to reproduce the bug too if he'd done exactly the same thing as the OP. But you are probably right that its system-specific. And I should probably shut up and get out of the Mac forum. Bye.

Observation: my Layouts screen shot is missing the dark grey scroll location indicator on both sides since had scrolled down (date is not shown). Note: the layout being edited on my Mac was sync'd from Logos 4 on PC many months ago, hence the yellow background. Clicking layout opens fine on Mac.
After seeing screen shot by Stéphane Kapitaniuk, went back to my Layouts menu and edited Layout name on left side with no issue using delete and fn+delete keys so am unable to replicate issue using Logos 4.5b Beta 5 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 (tried editing an old layout along with a new snapshot); hence, my apologies (since cannot replicate this issue on my iMac). Personally learned could use fn + delete key combination. Looking at both screen shots, noticed my 27" iMac has a bigger screen (so icons not appearing in the menu bar on upper right side).
By the way, my Mac keyboard is the same as the one on wiki page => Logos 4 Keyboard Shortcuts For Mac

OK, good! That's a relief. I thought you were irritated with me for stepping in when it was none of my business. The "he's a big boy" comment sounded a bit snarky.

It was not intended to be critical. Should have provided a big toothy grin [:D]

Hello Rosie, thanks for joining this thread. To answer your comment: You cannot use the back space in any situation in the Layout Menu. Thats what I meant by: "When I tried to rename a Layout, or to correct the spelling of a new one I'm creating".

I'm afraid to upgrade. I'm running a MacBook. Logos 4 is already quite slow and resource consuming. I've seen that it is still resource consuming on a MacBook Pro running Lion. So I'm in no hurry.

I'm unable to reproduce this on my machine, but it is using 10.7.3. I'm going to see if we can reproduce it on a Leopard machine.
