Indexer crash

I reinstalled windows XP and then Logos 4. It never worked; I always get the message "Logos is indexing for first time" and when is about 20% indexed the indexer crashes. I desintalled and reinstalled Logos several times and I always got the same message. This is strange because Logos 4 was installed in the same computer for two years without problems. Logs files are attached.

The logs have a curious 'called out of sequence' error. I think it would be best to contact Tech Support directly either via phone during their hours of operation, or via email (tech@logos,com). If you use email attach the logs.

BTW: .rar files are common with Macs but not PCs. If you can do so in the future use Windows .zip option to create a .zip folder of your log files.

Observation: RAR is a proprietary archive format => http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAR that needs additional software for creation and uncompression on Mac OS X and PC.

Thanks for your help Mark,

Can you have a look at this new log file (in .zip format[:D]), please? I´m waiting for an answer from Logos tech support and meanwhile I would like to know if the new log shows the same error that the previous one. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 gave me some errors and maybe this was the problem. I uninstalled Logos 4, cleaned the Windows registry, uninstalled all .NET frameworks versions with one tool from Microsoft called Clean Up, I reinstalled everything... and the indexer still crashes... Because of this, I would like to know if now the logs show the same problems. Thanks for your help.

No this seems to be a different problem. Beyond that I don't learn much from the log files.

Thanks for using .zip. More folks on the forums will be able to look at .zip files than .rar files so you'll get more eyes on the problem.

Appears indexer is crashing on resource LLS:BRENTONLXXEN (The Septuagint Version of the Old Testament: English Translation)

One option: hide resource, restart Logos 4 to see if can index rest of your library. If indexing completes, unhide resource, restart Logos 4 to download, then index resource.

One idea for checking .NET Framework 3.5 installation is Paint.NET => http://www.getpaint.net/ that needs .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1

Dear all,

Thanks very much for your help. I think I solved the problem, at least temporally. I have a copy of Logos 4 installed on my Samsung netbook and, following the wiki
instructions, I copied the resources + index on my desktop computer and so far is
working. I don't know if I will have problems when adding more resources but
is working for now.
