Indexing each time Logos 4 starts-up [SOLVED]

I have Logos Platinum 4 on both my Desktop and my Laptop. On my Desktop, which was the first one I installed it on, everything is fine. But on my Laptop I am having a problem.

Whenever I start up Logos 4 on the Laptop it starts indexing. It will say it is going to take 2 hours and 4 minutes.. then extnds out to around 3 or 4 hours as time goes on. I initially thought that maybe my laptop going to sleep might be the problem, so now I have removed all sleep functions and have it set to stay on.

I have left the Indexing going but it appears that after an hour or less, that Indexing stops. The Icon disappears from the task bar and hard drive activity returns to normal. I have left it on for hours to be sure, then when I restart my Logos 4 it goes back to Indexing, exactly as it has each time I start it up.

I have even seen both computers get a couple of different updates, and both process those just fine. But then ONLY the laptop goes back to indexing, then apparently stops at around an hour..(at best I can tell).

Any ideas or commands on how to restart Indexing would be appreciated. Or am I forced to do a re-install?

Funny after days of trying to figure this problem out, that today the solution presented itself.......

As I was perusing the forums today on my laptop a message popped up after about an hour of indexing, while it came up to fast to capture it, ( shouldn't an error message stay up until "I" decide to close it?).

Basically it said something to the effect that the disk I had chosen to install Logos to was to full and that it had less than than 1 gigabyte left.

I usually install my programs to the drive, so I apparently let Logos 4 install to the C: drive by mistake. Hopefully this will help others if they encounter this problem.

Note to Logos: Can you make a patch that will have any error that happens stay on screen till it is closed by the user? I have been trying to fix this for days by reading everything I could find. If the error message had stayed up I would have been able to correct this many days ago :>)

Every time I open Logos 4 it says First Time Indexing Underway....I also have it on my laptop....placed it on my drive...I have over 2gb available on my drive....I let it runs its course hoping its the last time I will ever in my life see First Time Indexing Underway...but it is always there next time I start up the program...and then sucks my CPU dry to where I cannot work while it is indexing.... I have almost 4000 resources so indexing takes quite a while...

Yes; this is on our task list for 4.0a (and may possibly make it into a service release). I'm sorry you wasted time because the error message wasn't left on the screen.

My copy of Logos 4 has said "first time indexing underway" now for a few weeks. Is there anything i should do to help it along that i haven't done already?

I read somewhere that i should turn off automatic updating. Did it. But nothing changed. I even left the computer on with Logos running for about 3 days straight!

Is it because i only upgraded the engine?

Do you think i'll have to re-install?

I'm running Windows 7 Professional and have plenty of ram, CPU speed, and about 60 gigs of free space.

Please help!

I have the same thing on Windows XP. 3.64Gb free and every time I start Logos 4, it starts indexing again. Currently it is saying 29hrs 17minutes remaining. [:(]

3.64GB does not sound like enough space to write an index...

for these sorts of problems log files are essential. To activate logging, please see: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

After you have enabled logging and restarted the program and indexing is underway, please start a new thread with the nature of your problem (constant indexing) and your logos4.log and logos4indexer.log attached.
