How do you use your iPad with Logos in preaching or teaching?
I purchased the new iPad and use it with a VGA projector in Sunday School. I develop a PowerPoint presentation with Logos 4 and email it to myself for use on the iPad. Links to L4 in the PPT file work in Keynote on the iPad if WiFi is available (which it isn't in my classroom - maybe it will be after the building expansion). As an alternative, I copy/paste the verses into the PPT file. Not as flexible, but it works - sort of.
I have the very real sense that I am only scratching the surface. Controlling a remote projector from my iPad when occasionally preaching - I think something like that can be done, but I have little idea how to do it.
That is one possibility. The users on this forum are very knowledgeable and creative. Please share your experiences (successes and/or failures) and ideas.
Thank you.

I haven't preached yet using an iPad, but here is a thread that you may get some ideas from.

I use Pages to preach from on my iPad - nothing special. We're looking at possibly going with Proclaim in worship, in which case I might try my hand at using the Proclaim app in my preaching. There's several Powerpoint remote apps on the market as well. But, honestly, when I'm preaching I want as little distraction as possible - I try to preach mainly from memory, occasionally looking at my outline for reference. But we also have a volunteer on the soundboard every week who is familiar enough with running the computer to show images and/or videos as desired.

Thank you. I had not seen that thread.
Using L4 while preaching/teaching is not optimal from the iPad?

I use Powerpoint for my sermons. I use animation to build the outline on the slides and also display associated scripture (with key words/phrases set apart with yellow). I paste the notes from Word into the appropriate Powerpoint slide. Then I use the Ipad with Remote Slideshow app to control the PC and display on the Ipad the current slide and notes. It requires the same Wifi connection for PC and Ipad. The Ipad mirrors the PC screen + can display Powerpoint notes simulteneously as well as advancing the slides. Works very well.
I also use the Ipad for Bible studies. I develop the small group lessons/questions in Word. When complete, I save them as PDF and use GoodReader app to display them on the Ipad. Also works great.
I have stopped carrying notes/Bible and use the Ipad exclusively. I keep the Logos Bible app active to switch over (four finger swipe) to use for more extensive Bible reading or look ups as necessary.

You can also keep Logos and Vyrso active to allow you to have up to 4 books open for quick reference. I find this very useful in BIble study - Logos: English/Greek Bibles - Vyrso: Maps/Reference book

I also do the PDF with GoodReader for my sermon notes.
I have purchased an AppleTV device to mirror my iPad to our projector. Going to Skype/FaceTime with a missionary during service in a week.
