A Few Questions

I have tried to search on these questions, but for whatever reason I couldn't find what I am looking for. Thank you for your help.

1. Is there an option to set the default opening screen to the Passage Guide instead of the Home Page.  It seems that when Logos 4 is shut down when it is opened back up it defaults to where you last were.  I guess that will work for now.

2. How do you sync resources.  I am not talking about syncing across devices or computers, but syncing window panes.  If I type in a passage in the passage guide how can I get all my open (and applicable) resources to sync to that passage?  Does that question make sense?

See below: I typed in Mark 8:31 in the top left hand panel, hit return and hoped that the two middle panes would sync with that passage.  Nothing happened.  They remained static.  Is there a way to set this up so that I enter one passage in one location and all of the open panes sync together?  I am somewhat baffled as to why it doesn't default to this.

Thanks.

I'll start with the easy one: In the resource's menu (book cover, upper left corner of the resource when open), click one of the letter icons. These create a "link set." Then, repeat for the other resources. Make sure to use the same letter for the resources you want synced.

Logos will open to one of two places: The home screen or where you left off last. You can also start with a blank layout by holding down command when you start the program.

You can also save your favorite Layout (which might contain only the Passage Guide, for example) and drag it from the Layouts menu to the shortcut bar so you're just one click away from it when you open back up if it wasn't the last place you were when you closed Logos. See here for info on saving named Layouts: http://wiki.logos.com/Layouts__

Also, there has been a request made to allow the user to set what Layout Logos should open back up in (this feature was available in Logos 3, when layouts were called workspaces). You can go vote for this feature request on the Logos forum on UserVoice: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/639625-provide-option-to-have-logos-open-to-a-disignated-

    Will,

To expand on what Alabama said: Logos will start the home screen when configured to do so. In the left down corner of the home screen (at least on Windows, hope it's findable for you on the Mac) is a "customize" button which will allow you to customize the content of the home screen, but also has a checkbox for "Show home page at startup" - you may just uncheck it. If you desire to see the home screen later, you may always go there by clicking the building-shaped icon topleft in the Logos screen.
