After installing L4, is there any reason for me not to install L3?
Hi Mark,
is there any reason for me not to install L3?
In response to your question, some have... Others, particularly power users of L3 or those whose libraries contain PBBs or notes they don't want to lose, have chose to leave them in parallel. If you scan the forums, you'll learn a lot that'll help you better answer the question for your circumstances. You may also want to check the list of what hasn't made it into L4 yet, to ensure that capabilities you rely on aren't missing.
Blessings to you!
Bill
EDIT: sorry, I misread your question as UNinstall... Yes, there's reason for awhile to install L3, if you want access to the library of PBBs. I'm not sure Logos has written the script to keep the libraries in sync, yet, if you have only an L4 collection, but it's coming. And until L4 is complete many users feel there are still SOME things that work better in L3...
By your question you seem to not have L3 currently? If your not familure with L3 then in my opinion (which is always suseptable to corruption) would be not to install L3. But if you already have it... (did you buy both at the same time?) It isn't going to hurt anything. They will both run... and there ARE some things that you can do in L3 that you can't in L4 and vise-versa.... If I were just getting started with Logos myself, I'd stick to L4 that way I wouldn't confuse myself.

I ditto Jeremiah's tho'ts. Why create two learning curves, if you haven't had it before.
