books not available???

Hi everyone

I have Libronix, I have a number of books from the 90's I read on my PC.

I installed some books from Still Truth, It comes up that as I did not make
these books up, I am not entitled to access them anymore? That includes
my old books too.

Any help here would be helpful

So you purchased books from some place called Still Truth and you want to know how to get them into your library as it stands now? I guess I'm not sure what books you have that are not in your library.

Stephen, I believe those books are freely available books created using the Logos 3 Personal Book Builder. These are not something that requires a Logos license. You can still download these books from the Still Truth website: http://www.stilltruth.com/page/libronix_pbb_files

Still Truth is a site for Logos users to share free PBB's. The PB format of L3 is not compatible with the PB format for L4. Therefore all the resources need to be recompiled from their .docx files - sometimes made from the old source files. Still Truth has a new area for sharing these files I believe. The forum Files contains some. There are pages on the wiki for them as well..

Andrew, if I understand correct, these do require a Logos licence, namely to view them in L3. This licence was part of some Libronix Base Packages in the past. It was also a part of the PBB maker package, sold as an add-on (no more available). Those who have only a new base package or use the free Libronix engine contained in many CD-ROM-packaged poducts or downloaded from Logos.com will not be able to view these things in L3. If this is incorrect, let me know, because I belong to this unfortunate group.

As we all know, since L3-PBB has been superseded by L4 PB which uses another file format, the Libronix-format PBB books from stilltruth or other places won't be readable in L4 - but they still can be accessed in L3 provided the L3 PBB reader licence.

I'm not sure which is Stephen's problem.

You are right. You did need to own one of the base packages from L3 in order to have a reading license for L3 PBB files. I think you had to purchase a license to be able to create L3 PBB files, but I might be wrong about that. (L3 was a long time ago for me!) The page below can be used to retrieve your L3 PBB reading license (if allowed on the account).

Hi, Interesting information, it appears that I have somehow got some of my own Logos 4 books within the StillTruth collection I have downloaded, plus my originals books from the 90's. ALL BOOKS are locked. I had a funny feeling when I installed StillTruth books, the program took longer to start up, felt it had done some sort of upgrade maybe? I have some problems with my short term memory?

I'll go back and reinstall the Libronix.

I'll be back asap with news.

Stephan, If'n I remember correctly there was a big ta-do over the key for the PBB's, when the change was made for the series 'X'. There was a mass purchase for the License Key that many recieve now for free, well not really free but ya it is. In the current running of L4[newest packaged engine] you get a PB, which allows for the creation somewhat similar to the original PBB, but it takes a little less savy to create since you can use a *.docx import, then 'build'.

You cannot use the original formatted PBB's in L4, but if you created the originals you mention from a doc file, then save them as a *.docx and import using the L4 'PB' then build, this will allow you to read, scan, search in the L4 way.....
