Hi Guys-
I keep getting a crash when I index my laptop - see attached logs. I have no problems on my desktop.
I appreciate any help - thanks.
Logos4Indexer.log file shows a data error after merging postings for an hour and ten minutes.
Noticed laptop has 1.5 GB of RAM and 19.5 GB free disk space on the C:\ Drive
For the log files that have already been posted, could delete those files. Also could delete unneeded temporary files, then empty trash.
Next restart laptop, which should restart indexing. Wait for indexing to complete (or crash) before using programs on laptop, including Logos 4. Once indexing is done, could look in Logos Log Files. If an error or crash file exists, then compress all diagnostic log files and attach to a forum reply. If indexing completes, enjoy using Logos 4.5a SR-1
Keep Smiling [:)]
Thanks KS4J-
Unfortunately that didn't work. I've attached the new logs - tell me what you think. Thanks again.
HI Anthony,
Has Windows been giving you message requesting you do a disk check? Have you noticed your total amount of hard drive space decrease? You're getting a "Cyclic redundancy check" error. Esscentially this means as the hard drive moves data from one location to another, it is losing information. There is a possibility that the hard drive is failing. Please run disk check as described here--> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Check-your-hard-disk-for-errors. Make sure you check Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors as well as Automatically fix file system errors. Let me know what results you get.

I think that was part of the problem. I did have a bad sector which was fixed by Windows. Logos is indexing right now - I will let you know how it goes. It does look like it will take a while since Logos has been indexing for 10 minutes and is 0% complete. Thanks for the help.
