I'm thinking of buying a Mac and I was wondering if I have to buy new Logos software for Mac, or can I download it and use my old license with the Mac version?
You DO NOT need to repurchase!
Welcome [:D]
Thankful for Logos licensing change in 2009 so now purchase resources for use on a variety of platforms along with all Logos software being free.
Wiki Getting Started with Logos has => Installation + Indexing that includes stable Logos 4 Mac download link.
Wiki Logos 4 Mac has => Mini FAQ that includes:
New to Mac OS X?
Apple has Mac OS X Applications and Utilities plus hundreds of How-To Tutorials. Apple Support includes Mac 101, Switch 101 and Keyboard shortcuts. For OS X Lion, Apple Support includes Recovery (with how to install on a new drive).
Apple Retail Stores have free Workshops to learn how to use Apple products.
Wiki has => Quick Installation onto Multiple Macs since Logos 4 resource files are identical on Mac and PC.
By the way, Apple offers refurbished Mac's => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac that have same 1 year warranty (and packaging) as new. Wiki Logos 4 Mac includes: Logos 4 is resource intensive on Mac & PC – benefits from fast processor, graphics, and disk along with adequate memory (i.e. newer hardware since Logos 4 being designed for use over 5 to 8 years). Looking forward to Intel's Ivy Bridge CPU's; currently second generation Intel Core i5 and i7 are fast.
Caveat: Logos 4 Mac has some feature parity issues compared to Logos 4 PC; wiki Mac and PC User Interface Differences has => Feature Parity
