ESV Biblia/Logos

Why is the ESV freely available on many electronic media (Biblia.com/Vyrso/Kindle/etc) but it's $10 if you want it on Logos 4? Is it a licensing technicality?

Welcome [:D]
Looking at Logos 4 base package comparison, noticed ESV is included in every base package => http://www.logos.com/comparison
Looking at Logos 4 Catholic base packages, noticed ESV is included in 2 base packages => http://www.logos.com/catholiccomparison
Personally have ESV resource license in Logos 4 from base package purchase, which includes reverse interlinear tagging.
Apologies: as a user, not know why ESV is free for mobile use, but free for Logos 4.

Jeff, welcome to the Logos user forums!
The free resources from Logos on mobile media are a way of "trial" version which may be used online, but not downloaded. If one wants an "own" copy of it, one has to buy it - that shouldn't be a surprise and may be due to the licencing contract between Logos and Crossway. Logos does offer free bibles, though - e.g. Public Domain versions as well as their self-published Lexham translation.
The publisher of ESV offers a generous licence for Logos as well - if you own a paper version that qualifies, you may freely download the ESV plus additional resources - see http://wiki.logos.com/free_books for details.
Hope this helps,
Mick
