KJ2000

Hello to all, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the KJ2000 Bible. I was looking for a Bible version closer to the KJV without all of the old language, and stumbled onto the KJ2000 Bible. I also saw some things on the KJV2000, but realized that it is not that good. However I have been reading some positive things about the KJ2000. Any honest input would be welcome.

Also why is this version not available through Logos?

Honestly, after a brief google search, every website I visited said that the two were the same. Can you provide publisher links to these translations?

I know that it is unrelated to the NKJV, which is published by Thomas Nelson. The "Bible League" prints the KJV 2000.

From everything I have read, the "KJ 2000," which was created by Dr. Robert A. Couric, is the same translation as the "KJV 2000" printed by the Bible League. Dr. Couric was insistent that his translation remain nonprofit. The Bible League is a nonprofit, Bible translation organization.

Adam, since your desire is a text that is close to the KJV without all the archaic language, I believe the NKJV was translated with you in mind:

Thank you all for your help on this topic. I have heard that the NKJV is not the same as the KJV, and I do see some differences, but nothing to turn me away from reading it. However I do not like the NIV, and other related versions because they appear to be missing so much. Thanks again.

I would think not. It is fairly niche, and the author was adamant about it being available only through not-for-profit means. I have been known to be wrong before, however. [:)] You can always make a suggestion in the suggestions forum.
