Is there any way to only download some resources? I would rather not take up 6GB on my mac for only a few resources that I normally use.
Thanks,
- Vince
No, unless you want to "hide" (what should be called archive) resources on all your computers (but not mobile, where there is no hide/archive).
Option: copy resources from another Logos 4 installation (Mac or PC), then use scan command (followed by restarting Logos 4).
WIki Quick Installation onto Multiple Macs has => Copy Logos 4 Resources to Mac OS X (can leave Automatically download updates set to No so can use copy and scan for future updates)

With Logos it is all or nothing. For missionaries, bible translators, etc. who work in parts of the world where the internet is very, very slow, this is a real logistical problem. Let's say for example you want to buy a new resource to aid in your translation work that is only a 50MB. Sometimes that is within the realm of possibility to leave your computer running for the night downloading. However, because of the way content is delivered, there may be nearly a gigabyte (and I have seen much more at times) of updates to download before you get to that new resource download. Gigabytes, even if you leave your computer for days is beyond the physical realm of possibility so you are stuck.
So as far as I know, there's no way to selectively download. A few work arounds here have been suggested and you can buy a media only DVD that is updated from time to time, but Logos burns bandwidth at times like a Hummer burns gas. Not good when bandwidth is of short supply.
