How do I get exerpts to show up on my home page? Customize on bottom left hand doesnt do it.
Be certain that the excerpts box is checked, then press Shift+F5 to reset the homepage cache and see if that works.

This problem seems to pop up from time to time, and I have not seen any acknowledgment of a fix from Logos on it, although logs have been submitted.
Check out this thread, it does mention checking your log files and some other things to try (including deleting some files once Logos is closed.) If you go through this thread and try everything, and you do have similar errors in your log file, then I would suggest that you call tech support at Logos; it may be an outstanding bug that has not been fixed..
Can clarify exactly what it is that you are trying to accomplish? This may help determine the right mode in trying to help….plus this keeps us from guessing and we can be more direct in an approach to help.

Thanks for all the help...I did the shift F5 thing which didn't work...decided to try turning laptop on & off again after doing this and twa-la it works for now...if it does again I'll repeat process...thanks again everybody
