Linked commentaries & Bibles
In Logos 4 for Windows, if I link a multi-volume commentary to the open Bible, then it automatically switches to the correct volume when necessary.
In Logos for IPad this doesn't seem to happen. When studying, it is not a big issue to change the book manually to the correct volume, but whilst in Bible study meetings, it's a bit of a nuisance. To help a bit, I purchased the Abridged version of the Expositor's Commentary (one of my favourites, although the Tyndale is my preferred one.)
I tried the New Bible Commentary, but it was not to my taste - I prefer something a lot more technical.
Is there a way to get Logos for Ipad to automatically select the correct volume? If not, are there any plans to do so. (This would be my number 1 wish for Logos for IPad if it can't do it. The Exegetical Guide would be a close second).

I don't think there is. However, if your commentary set has a series name, then you can just leave that in the library reference window and scroll to select any volume you like. I have no inside info on whether Logos will ever include this on iPad, but it sure is handy on desktop.AndyTheGreek said:Is there a way to get Logos for Ipad to automatically select the correct volume?

Andy - I want to make sure I understand you correctly… You are able to scroll through your bible and have it linked to a commentary set (such as the Word Biblical Commentary) and the correct volume of the multivolume set will open up?
That sounds like a neat trick… how do you do it?

If I understood your statement above correctly, then I think the answer is no. As far as future features goes, Logos is generally hush, hush.

I use the Tyndale, Pulpit, Epositor's and Barne's Notes, all of which are multi volume commentaries.
All I do is, in Windows Logos 4, is set the Bible/Exegetical Guide and the Commentary's Link Set to A and then they all synch nicely. When I change verse to one that requires a different volume in the commentary set to open, it just happens. I don't think I'm doing anything particular to make this happen, it just does.

That’s the way it works for me, too. I thought it did for everyone. [:^)]

Let me re-answer this question. I think there is a good possibility that this might come, but only after collections are able to be synced between L4 & the mobile app.
