Make Scanned Images of Books Available

Hello,

Has Logos ever considered making the scanned images of the pages of books available to those who have purchased the books in Logos format?

There are some times when I would like to see exactly what something looks like in the print version.

Google Books, I believe, allows you to do this when you purchase books from them

Those are only public domain books. I like Sogol's suggestion for all books we have in our Logos library. There have been times when I too have wanted to see how the pages were originally laid out. Usually my reasons for wanting to do that can be met in other ways in Logos (e.g., turn on visual page numbers, so I can properly cite what page(s) a quote came from). But sometimes I just want to see the page layout.

This might be difficult for Logos to accomplish, because I imagine that in the case of most in-print books, when they get the digital files from the publisher, it doesn't include printed book page scans, but just a Word document, which Logos then adds their tagging to. They might receive PDFs in some cases.

Sure. When Sogol asked for the scanned pages, I assumed this to refer to pages Logos actually did scan (or received as scanned). When they get an electronic format, they a) maybe won't have a layouted page and b) it would probably be against all contracts if they offered these electronic files to the public - even to the buyers.

I'm not sure how many GB Logos would eat if all resources featured a picture view of all pages (like the manuscripts do)
