My laptop computer updated to the new release 4.5b and then after a bit I got a message new resources are ready to add to my library. I clicked ok thinking that it would only take a few minutes but my computer now has been saying "Preparing Your Library This May Take A While" for quite a long time now. I did the same thing with my desktop and it seemed to take a reasonable amount of time. Should I reboot my lap top or wait it out?

I think I sometimes had this and after some longish time simply clicked the "close" field of the message and restarted Logos and all was fine (i.e. the thing didn't hang technically from a Windows standpoint - so no PC reboot was needed). But that's just a recollection and I may be wrong. Does it say "Preparing your library stage 1 of 3" when you hover over the task tray icon?

Yes: reboot.

I had the same experience. After 3 hours of waiting (on a quad-core i7), I had to reboot. Installed and started fine.

If it takes longer than 1 hour "Preparing your library" I would try to quit the Indexer or reboot.

Thanks everyone. I finally went to bed and let it continue running. When I got up this morning it was still running so I restarted my laptop.
