What happens if it closes below 100% (say, for example, the unlikely situation of several people dropping out very suddenly). Does it then go on Pre-Pub as 'almost there'?

Likewise not know what happens when closing time arrives, but not enough bids remain to cover 100 % of estimated production cost. One potential is for item to remain on Community Pricing (with another closing in the future if enough bids are placed).

Currently $ 30 for 4,880 pages that includes sermons and biographical information.

Noticed $ 15 progress dot is approaching 100 % line so more Logos user bids of $ 15 or more have potential to reduce projected price.
