I have discovered that my logos is much faster when I put the internet off.
But now I'm wondering which (dis)advantages it has to use internet? Is there more than a fancy homepage and auto update?

With the internet turned off, you cannot purchase any new books.
Logos needs to look at why using the internet has a huge impact to the L4, and no other program slows down like L4 slows down when they use the internet,
Without the internet, Logos doesn't sync. Which means that if you don't have a complete back-up copy, you'll lose all your notes, highlights, layouts etc if something goes wrong. Plus you can't sync between computers, if that's an issue for you.
You also won't be able to see new or updated Reading Lists, and I suspect you might not be able to load older ones either (I haven't tried).
Then I believe there are also some sermon sections in the default Passage Guide that require the internet (I've long since removed them, so this is from memory).
Might be other things as well that I can't think of right now.
