Default Layoout

How do I make the default layout look like one I have saved?

Donald, if you leave up your "saved" layout as you exit the program (hopefully that is also what you want as a default) - the program will automatically reload that layout the next time it opens.
Is this what you are asking?

I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "default layout" in L4. But you can set things up the way you want and then click on the Layout drop down in the upper right corner and where it says "NOW" click on the word "SNAPSHOP" below the layout and it will change to a box that you can type in. Type the name something like MyLayout or whatever. And it will be saved with that name. If you have it loaded when you close Logos4 it will load the next time you load Logos, unless of course you have the Home Page set to load by default. If you want the home page to load do nothing. But if you would rather have this new saved layout to load, click on the Customize button on the lower left and turn off the Show Homepage at Startup checkbox. Then every time you close it will open to the last desktop you had open.
Hope that helps. And if I'm wrong about the not having default layout I am sure Thomas Black will fix me but good.

Okay, I got that, but when I type in a scripture inot the Passage guide, the other panes do not reflect the new scripture. Only, if I go out to the home page and type in the new scripture does everything update, but my layout is back to the initial layout that pops up when you start, losing the modifications I want to have in my study layout.. I really want to use my modified layout to study and use the home page to just review news, etc.

Have you set up the link set?
In all of your open resources click the box that has the book cover or for the passage guide click the icon for the passage guide. A drop down box will appear. Look for Link Set and set them all to the same letter. That way they all update and follow one another. This is the same as it was in Logos 3 only there the link button was on the window toolbar and looked like a chainlink.

Thanks Kevin. This answered my question. I forgot about the checked box to always open the Home Page. Now it opens to the desktop I want. Thanks.

Thanks,
Donnie
