I have now had L4 installed for two weeks and I have had at least two updates installed. I remembered how long the original indexing took (2-1/2 days). I did not want it to start in the middle of my weekly Bible Study as I prepared my weekly message. So, with my wife and I taking a mini-vacation tomorrow, I wanted to do a merge of my indexes tonight when there was time to let it process without disrupting my personal study.
The only way I could find to do this was to create a large search (God AND love) that would force results from both the primary index and from the supplemental index. This seems like an unnecessary step.
Is there a way (a command?) that will force the merge operation without actually doing an unnecessary search?
