Could someone contribute to my quetion please?

I would like to have biblical based moe information, what or how a pastor or church elders could be qualified to lead a church? What are the requirements ? What is their specific duty in relation to the church? ,how shoud they carry it out? What are their limitations? Is there any good ressource in Logos about this?

Hi Tes,
The Alexander Strauch Church Leadership collection (here) has a book which specifically addresses the issue of eldership. Whether one agrees with his conclusions, is, of course, another matter. Towards the other end of the spectrum, R.A. Campbell's The Elders is available here. I have just started reading it and am not in a position to recommend it. It is often referenced. Again, one may or may not agree with the conclusions therein. It is fairly easy to establish the position of this resource from the synopsis on the product description page.
I personally found the Zondervan Counterpoints entry, Who Runs the Church (here), to be a fairly decent introduction to some of the issues. You might also run a passage guide on some of the key biblical passages (e.g. 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1) as some of your commentaries may have useful information.
I am sure that other people will be able to offer further help suggestions/recommendations.
God bless,
Andy

Searching Heading Text;Large Text in my Logos Library for:
(pastor,elder)
found 2,370 articles:
Logos had Twitter deals for Zondervan Counterpoints earlier this year, which included => Who Runs the Church?: 4 Views on Church Government
Also noticed in search results sorted by count, => The Master's Plan for the Church and => Perspectives on Church Government: Five Views of Church Polity

I have both Strauch's book and Campbell's book. I dont have "Who runs the church" but it looks like a helpful book. I recommend Strauch on this subject. He has much helpful things to say. I have the book., "Perspectives on Church Government 5 Views". I do not know if there is much of a difference between this book and "Who runs the church" but they seem to be taking the same approach. I would recommend one of them.
A search in the Journals should also prove helpful and useful on this topic.
