BCP

Have you ever seen the initials BCP and wondered what they stand for? The Book of Common Prayer has been the centre of worship in Anglican/Episcopal churches for centuries.
It's available for just a few more days in Community Pricing. Not only does this 17 volume collection include the 1662 version, still used today, and used by most in that tradition until relatively recently, it also contains a wealth of studies concerning the versions through the centuries and the most up-to-date version, used around the world today.
This is the cheapest you'll see it in Logos, so whether you're Anglican/Episcopal, interested in different traditions, or even just interested in prayer(!), this one's worth bidding on now...

While I am not an Anglican/Episcopal, I love the BCP because of the beautiful prayers that it has within its pages.

Most people dont know how to pray out loud. Public prayer should lift the hearers heart to higher thoughts of God. I think many people ought to buy this by listening to how most people pray.

Not to use as a prayer but to teach how prayer should be done.

Note also that the form of worship in several Protestant denominations derive from the BCP. For a history or understanding of English language worship the BCP is indispensable.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The bidding on the BCP currently stands at $55. I think $50 is possible. We have 1 day to achieve this.
