To re-install Logos 4.0

Hello
I have a laptop with a hard drive divided into two sections - C is 155 GB and D is 480 GB. Logos is presently on Drive C. However, Drive C is almost full up. I think that I need to move Logos from C to D. The only way to do this, I think, is to completely re-intall Logos on D and then uninstall Logos on C.
How do I go about installing Logos 4 onto Drive D? Can someone remind me?
Thank you very much.

Hello
Thank you for your answer to my query. However, how do I simply do a clean install of Logos 4.0 and download my books on my Drive D. I should add that I use Windows Explorer on Drive C to get online.
Here's hoping that you can help.

if you "really" wish to download all you books again (maybe many GB's) just Download and install from http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

Hello again Dominic
Thank you for your help and patience with me.
I don't really want to download all of the resources again. However, I need to transfer Logos 4.0 and all of my books from Drive C to Drive D of my laptop.
Re-installing Logos 4.0 on Drive D and downloading and indexing all of the resources is the only way I know to do this.

George,
Hhmmm, If u un-install and re-install there will be an Indexing. No way to avoid it, it’s gonna happen.
Use Alabama24’s link, concentrate on understanding Method #1 and #2. Make sure you are up-to-date on u’r resources, then copy the named folders out to an external drive.
EDIT-added this: Then UN-INSTALL--
Clean the registry, with something like CCleaner by periform.com, free version works fine…
Then do a complete INSTALL and use the “Custom”…then follow the prompts….It really isn’t that hard, they make it seem complicated….
-I do not know that there is a way just to “move” L4 to another drive…there are hidden files that you may miss….that are required../?
Hope this helps...

In this case beacuse the drive is changing letters, then possibly it will force a reindex, but when you are reinstalling next time to same place, then NO REINDEXING IS REQUIRED, that why whe love this unsupported method

Method 2 at http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers avoids re-indexing but you must backup the Logos4 folder as most of it is removed when uninstalling. The quickest way in this case is:-
- Rename the \Logos4 folder
- uninstall L4
- install as per Method 2
However, a simpler way is the second procedure at http://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive
