Are there plans for a separate FaithLife app?

Are there plans for a separate FaithLife app? I know about the FSB app but I was wondering if there war any plans for an app for just the social portion (FaithLife). The biggest users of Faith Life in our church would probably be the youth with the way they take to social stuff like FB but I know many of them don't have to money for the subscription for FSB. It would be nice if they had just a FL app so they could use FL on their phones. I've tried using the web browser but FL on a mobile wen browser just doesn't cut it. It would be to cumbersome and they would jet stick with FB.

Another version might be a mobile version of FL for mobile web browsers. Again in it's current version I think some would be left out not wanting to pay $30 for the subscription. If they all can't access it our youth ministry team would stick with what they all have which is FB (faceBook).

I'm going to suggest no. Why would they? What advantage would it be? Faithlife isn't meant to be a "Christian Facebook." Furthermore, how would Logos make any money? I'm not even talking about profit, mind you, but how would they even cover their costs? There are other organizations / groups doing similar things, but they are focusing on the social side rather than the content side, which is Logos "bread & butter." No one seems to be really catching on, but you would think that one will at some point.

Anyways, the Study Bible is free for more than a year. Perhaps at some point Logos would be able to create multi-tiered licenses for churches & organizations.

My thinking was that most or at least some of them would subscribe but having just a FaithLife app would allow those not able to afford it to be part of the community without being left out. I also think that the more they used they would come to want the FSB and this would lead to more subscriptions long term.

They offer a free Logos with some base books/bibles. This is for those of us that already use Logos but can also craw in more customers so I was think a model similar for FL app. This could also expand their eco system as more churches use FL, more Logos customers, more Proclaim customers. Apple has successfully done this with iPod, iPhone, Macs, iPad, iTunes, etc.

yes but it's not optimized for mobile browsers. if they came out with a mobile browser version of Faith Life that would work.

Hmm. Since Faithlife, Vyrso, Logos, and Biblia all share the same code with differing features turned on and off I wonder if it is indeed possible merely by turning off the reader portions of the code.

It depends I suppose on how much the faithlife portion of the code relies upon the Logos app's portion of the code.
