Searching Openness

OK, so I'm writing a piece about openness and I need one more illustration and just can't come up with one on my own. So, I go go Logos, click Search and then Basic. I then choose to search my preaching illustration books (which I have conveniently tagged preachingIllustrations). I type "openness" in the search box and click the go arrow.

I get all kinds of results on "Opens," "Opener," "Opening," and "Opened," but nothing of "Openness."

And here's the strange thing. It actually cites one of the sources where I know the word openness appears, but instead of finding that, it found "Opening." See the screenshots below to see what I mean.

Can anyone explain this behavior to me? Thanks.

Gregory ... while you're waiting for 'why here and not here', if you uncheck the search option for 'Match word forms' it will narrow down to 'openness' (little box at the top left).

From your description, it sounds like the algorithm strips down to 'open' but doesn't have the matching word form 'openness' (assuming the simple search you're describing).
